Handing grandparents their first photos of their grandchildren is an incredible moment of sharing. I have photos from my childhood where I am interacting with my great-grandparents. Those images are beyond priceless, truly my family artifacts. The basis of Dog Meets World is for travelers to share their love of photographs with others!

It is endlessly windy in the Cape Town area of South Africa. Okay I know wind machines are used to photograph models…but this young lady had her hands full with her real dog and our Foto dog and couldn’t control her hair….so I switched places with her and revealed her striking beauty! A stunning first photo for her!

I was asked to take a first picture of the “old” man. When I inquired as to his age he answered 53….I retorted to my associates “be careful who you are calling old“. In South Africa aging might yield a loss of teeth, but certainly not a loss of joy.

Accompanied by local resident Wendy Robain, we took over 100 pictures of children outside a public school near Cape Town, South Africa. When this girl’s mom came to meet her daughter she was totally surprised and thrilled to receive her first photograph of her child. Wendy added that she believes “we all need to do good everyday and make the best of it.”
