This little guy is completely uncertain about the photo taking process, but his mother knows he’s her star from Beverly Hills (that’s the real name of this community near Cape Town).

Boys will be boys! In their winery provided preschool (crèche) in Zevenwacht, South Africa, the boys were ecstatic and ran around holding their first pictures. In the top photo, Paul couldn’t stop staring at his first image with delight.

The goal of Dog Meets World is to shoot pictures of respect and to highlight the child’s natural beauty and the richness of their being. While many children in the world reside in impoverished neighborhoods, the goal is to isolate the child and celebrate who they are in a photograph.

While each photo was printed up in less than a minute on the portable printer, the process was completely mesmerizing and the children hung around and waited for all the prints to be finished….fun interactive cross cultural time!
