Phodographer John Rader, educator in Cusco, Peru, March 2010

This is the perfect picture (okay it’s today’s perfect picture because at Dog Meets World all the pictures capture perfect images to share). This child raises money on the streets of the old Incan capital by offering to pose for tourists. Educator John Rader on a spring break trip was the first to offer her a copy for herself. The baby goat and little Foto have identical coloring and they look like they’re happily interacting, actually I think they’re “kissing”. Sharing a photo on-the-spot leaves an indelible affirmation and a tiny seed of peace. Teachers make perfect phodograpahers!

NEW Phodographer John Rader in Cusco, Peru April 2010

John, a music teacher from NYC has been visiting Peru over spring break, by definition a wandering educator. He packed along a Foto pup and a portable printer to let him share photographs with these children on the streets of the old Incan capital city of Cusco. While many stop to take pictures of such children, John took it one step further and shared their image with them! In sync it just so happens that Dog Meets World is featured on the Wandering Educators website! Thanks to all.

Phodographer John Carr in Chivay, Peru, September 2009

John backpacked through South America with a Foto pup and printer. Concluding his 5 month travels he said “Participating in Dog Meets World has been a truly magical experience. Reaching across the world to share photos, memories and joyous moments is a wonderful thing and being able to spread happiness one smile at a time is priceless. I have met children and adults from across a continent with the project, and without exception have found the project to be one that brings joy and wonderment to all I meet.” Many tourists have taken this boy’s picture, but John stopped to print and share.
