NEW Phodographer Patrick Fleming in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Aug. 2009
Patrick Fleming, a professor of business and technology and Central Florida Community College, is a longstanding photodographer in his alter-academic life as a Fulbright Scholar to India, China and Central Asia. Since 2004 he has been sharing his photography and textual insights gathered in these countries in exhibitions and at conferences. Life through the lens enhances each moment when one is a guest in an unfamiliar land. This sensory instance bridges any gaps in verbal languages and embeds a memory in photographer and subject alike.
On a six day visit to Siem Reap, the host city of the iconic garden temple, Angkor Wat, Patrick Fleming found time from his temple grazing to visit several schools and share the magical prints of Dog Meets World. He was immensely pleased to photographed more than 60 students who were ready to leave school for the day.

Phil writes on Facebook that the MaD (www.madforgood.org) kids, including this boy, “are off to Siem Reap for the assessment for acceptance to private school… exciting times. Their English is getting better by the day thanks to all the efforts of our volunteers who have given them a good grounding to build on.” Become a fan of Dog Meets World on Facebook. Hopefully having his own photograph will help him believe in himself.
