After completing a Fulbright Scholarship in China, Patrick spent a week in Cambodia. While exploring the countryside not far from the famous Angkor Wat temple, he visited a school to share in his words “the magical prints of Dog Meets World“.

Gigi elected to take a GAP year between high school and college and included volunteering at MaDforGood in Siem Reap, home of the famous ancient temple of Angkor Wat.. After her first experience she excitedly emailed “I’m in Cambodia right now and I just used the Dog Meets World printer! I started taking photos and like everyone from the village swarmed around me. It was amazing to watch everyone see themselves in a photo for the first time. I’ll send you the pictures! Thank you for the opportunity to do this!”

SOID is an established NGO (non-governmental organization) that provides schooling for grades one through eight in Siem Reap. Volunteers from around the world come to teach students English and share a bit of their own culture. Short on means but long on energy, these students have come to value education as a way to grow and provide for themselves and their future families.”
