Phodographer John Carr along Lake Titicaca, Bolivia Nov. 2009

John backpacked through South America with little Foto and a printer. He said “I took pictures in Yumani, Isla del Sol, an island on Lake Titicaca, best know for its Incan ruins. They are actually my favourite DMW shots of the trip. Three brothers were playing outside while their mother was working as the toilet attendant at the jetty for the island, and were all captivated by the printer.” The clearly visible paws of little Foto and young Edgar’s shoes are a charming parallel. John writes “Yumani, Isla del Sol, is an island best know for its Incan ruins. The photos I took here were actually my favourite DMW shots of the trip. The three children were playing outside while their mother was working as the toilet attendant at the jetty for the island, and were all captivated by the printer. The youngest child (Eric) was very excited, especially when I accidentally printed a second of him – he ran around with the pictures while his mum shouted ´two Erics!´ She told me than he liked them alot.“
