Foto’s Blog: Cuddly “Foto” in El Salvador

Phodographer Julia Haney in El Salvador, summer 2010
Now that summer has returned and travel plans are being finalized….add photo diplomacy to your visits to the world of need and connect with the exchange of a simple photograph! Phodographer Julia did just that with Connect-Kids to Kids when she practiced Dog Meets World last summer. Kids to Kids is a global youth-led program of World Connect committed to creating opportunities for kids everywhere to participate in arts, sports, education and environmental projects. They, like us believe that kids can, and DO, change the world.
Foto’s Blog: Sharing Photos is the best in Dominican Republic!

Phodographers from Univ. Maryland near Sattlelite, Dominican Republic March 2011
Once again Dog Meets World was a huge success. A group from the University of Maryland Hillel did a spring break service project. The leader Marissa Neuman said “the students adored the project. We took pictures of over 100 students at a school we worked with. About 75 % of the children didn’t have photos of themselves. We also took some in the town where we were living, Sattlelite.”
Something so incredible about having your own photograph….but it’s also priceless to share with your friends to multiple the joy. Thank you to new phoDOGraphers Aliza, Ben, Allana, Scott, Jona, Jacob, Kara, Samantha and Allison for being photo diplomats!!

In honor of Mother’s Day….Dog Meets World shares this favorite photo of Moms admiring their children’s first pictures in Guatemala. Moms worldwide understand the significance of capturing a child’s image permanently in a photo. It becomes a family artifact to remember the moment and beauty of youth. A photo is tangible joy! Happy Mother’s Day to ALL MOMs!
