Everyone should have a picture of their children and grandchildren.

I, Carolyn Lane, founder of Dog Meets World heard Michelle Obama at the commencement on the National Mall for George Washington University. These words struck me as telling for DMW….Michelle described a diplomatic meeting in which Secretary Clinton said she “…thought everyone should bring pictures of their children and grandchildren to international meetings, and set those pictures right in front of them and ask themselves, “Is the decision that we’re about to make going to make their lives better?”

Dog Meets World exists because the reality is that so many people in the world do not have a single picture of themselves, their children or grandchildren. Imagine how powerful it would be to share a photo. Join us, become a phoDOGrapher!

Michelle concluded her remarks saying “But just know that when you serve others abroad, you’re serving our country, too. You’re showing the world the true face of America –- our generosity, our strength, the enduring power of our ideals, the infinite reservoir of our hope.”

Thanks Michelle for reminding us how we can all touch the lives of others.
