Phodographers Denis Oswald, Brittany Lane and Carolyn Lane at Blanchard School just outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti April 2009.

This school in Haiti did not suffer major damage in the earthquake, but countless others did or were completely destroyed. These students are fortunate to attend school, but unlike their American counterparts do not get school photos. For almost all the students these were the first photo they had ever be given of themselves. Our hope is their photo affirms them and acknowledges their importance. They are Haiti’s future.
