The Daily Foto: Christmas in Argentina

Phodographer John Carr in Los Eucalypts, Suarez, Dec. 2009
John has been volunteering in a kindergarten in one of the poorest villas in Buenos Aires. “The kindergarten, Jardin Traversuras, is run by donated money and is down to the hard work of a local woman, Lorena, who spends every day with the children before going to work. The children are all aged 3-5 and would otherwise be playing in the streets; they are all absolutely amazing.
Today, I took Foto, my camera and printer and spent two hours taking pictures – much to their delight and the delight and gratitude of Lorena. It was the their first photos! Here is Franco posing with Foto before their Christmas tree.”
