Accompanying doctors on a medical mission trip to two different sites in Guatemala, Jane found time to take photos of the children and of their families too. Phodographer Leah Hudson near Port-au-Prince, Haiti, April 2009
The thrill of posing for their first picture is followed by actually seeing the printing process. The primary colors are added to the photo paper during each pass through the printer. Here in Cite Soleil a local volunteer helped man the printer as the children gathered to watched in amazement. It’s simple to use and full color 4×6 photos were created in less than a minute! However, nothing topped their delight when they were presented with the finished photo of themselves.

NEW Phodographer Paul Sifton aka “Paullydog” in the Santiago, Dominican Republic, Sept. 2009

“Paullydog” has worked in anonymity for years as he selflessly serves indigent hospital, AIDS clinics and orphanages on goodwill trips from his home in Jacksonville, FL. He along with helpers “Big Mac” (shown on the right) and her husband “Bulldog”, added the Dog Meets World project while in the Dominican Republic.
He noted “We gathered alot of the children (in the orphanage) up and took a picture of each of them. We put the camera card in the small picture printer and printed them all a picture of them selves to keep. None of them had ever had a picture taken of them and handed to them to keep.”
