Halle's girl from Guatemal
Phodographer Halle Hughes, age 10 in Santiago, Guatemala March 2009

This unbelievable photograph was taken by 10 year old Halle Hughes traveling with her family over springbreak. Practicing Dog Meets World, she and her sisters fully easily participated. This photo was immediately shared with this exquisitely dressed child and her mother. Contrast that to the story of “Now, after searching for 17 years, National Geographic has once again found the Afghan girl with the haunting green eyes. She was one of the world’s most famous faces, yet no one knew who she was. Her image appeared on the front of magazines and books, posters, lapel pins, and even rugs, but she didn’t know it.”. Take & Give photography acknowledges the shared ownership of personal images!
