I attended a talk last night by award winning author Tracy Kidder. He penned Mountains beyond Mountains, describing Paul Farmer’s efforts to provide medical care in Haiti and worldwide. He showed limited pictures when presenting his newest book stating “photographs are unfair competition for writers”. I agree, how would you accurately describe this Haitian school girl’s effervescent smile and joy?
